Description Featuring two different adhesives, one on each side, 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape 4229P is made for effective bonding on automotive surfaces. The liner-side adhesive offers high initial and final adhesion to rigid clearcoat systems and paint. The non-liner-side adhesive works well with adhesion promoter on plastics and other common automotive trim materials. The viscoelastic foam core conforms well even to complex geometries. This automotive trim adhesive exhibits excellent plasticizer resistance. Use with 3M™ Automotive Adhesion Promoter for tape-to-part adhesion on all parts, especially plastics such as RIM, TPO, PPO, PP and PC.
