What is a Check Valve used for? These brass valves can be used in various plumbing applications. Most commonly, non returns are found on the inlet or suction side of a pump to ensure that liquid doesn’t flow back away from the pump, this ensures the pump remains primed. What else can they be used for? These non return valves can also be fitted as a tank breather, allowing air to escape while preventing it from returning.
