Our Wound Sediment Filters are manufactured in the UK using FDA and EC approved materials, popular for numerous applications including private water supplies, drinking water, reverse osmosis and pre-filtration for UV systems. Wound filters also known as ‘depth filters’ have a high sediment holding capacity, trapping a broad range of particulate thanks to their graded density construction whilst maintaining a low pressure drop. We stock a variety of sizes for both regular and large diameter filter housings alongside several micron ratings from 1 micron to 100 micron. Choose a size that matches your existing filter housing or flow rate requirements. Most standard filter housings are compatible with these filter cartridges, but are available for purchase separately if required. Choosing Micron Rating Choose a micron rating based on your requirements. The lower the micron rating the smaller the particle size it traps. If the micron rating is too low then the filter can get blocked quickly, so it is important to strike a balance based on the water quality and application.
