You can install apps like Sonos, Russound or other home automation apps and operate in kiosk mode. It also supports building automation apps such as Niagara. The unit supports POE 802.at with a rear facing RJ45 making it convenient to install on gang boxes and hide all the cabling. For home automation, the display can connect to devices using Bluetooth This GK-SM08M 8″ Android smart home controller supports RS485 interface that can be used to communicate and manage HVAC systems. OEM customizations include custom ROM with pre-installed applications launched on boot up. The GK-SM08M allows you to launch straight into the app after boot up and operate in kiosk mode (single App mode).
