By correcting the pH of your water with known minerals like calcium carbonate, you increase the pH of your water and in turn reduce its ability to corrode and carry metallic contaminants. How Often Do I Need To Change These Filters?These filters contain pH correction media that slowly dissolves over time. When the media is almost depleted the filter needs replacing.
