Usually found within a water softener, this type of resin can be regenerated using a strong salt water solution, otherwise known as brine. This regeneration process allows it to continue softening your water, even after becoming saturated with minerals. These water softening resin filters strike a balance between a water softener and a filter cartridge, providing an excellent option for point of use applications (for producing low volumes of soft water on demand). How Long Do These Water Softening Resin Filters Last?The lifespan of the filter depends on your water hardness and usage.
