BLUE FILTER CARTRIDGE HOUSINGS NSF/ANSI 42 Certified These Blue Filter Cartridge Housings are certified to NSF/ANSI 42 standards – ensuring their suitability for use with drinking water. Each large diameter housing features a pressure relief valve in the head, plastic threaded ports and built in seals to ensure a leak free connection between the head and the bowl. Designed for use with large diameter ‘BB’ industry standard filter cartridges with either a 4.25″ or 4.5″ diameter. Blue filter housings should be used when chlorine is not present in the water supply, or when installed outside where exposure to UV light is likely. Light exposure to filter cartridges can contribute to biological growth and biofilm formation.
