Description Garden Downspout Filter GRS with 4″ top The garden downspout filter is installed in the vertical downpipe. It filters rainwater from the downpipe and directs it sidewards to the cistern. Due to its design, it needs particularly little maintenance: leaves, dirt and other washed-up debris fall through and are flushed down the drain. The filter result is optimally adapted to the needs of garden irrigation. The garden rainwater collector is also available without a filter insert. The flow through the garden rainwater collector can be up to 4.2 l/s, corresponding to the capacity of the downpipe. As in all WISY filters, the open cross-section of the roof drainage is maintained throughout the whole unit. There are no constrictions of the cross-section where rainwater can accumulate. Not even in the case of cloudburst-like rainfall. Drainage safety according to DIN EN 12056 / EN 752 is always guaranteed, DIN 1989 is fulfilled. At the same time, the filter has a high hydraulic efficiency. At an inflow of 1.5 l/s, for example, 90 % of the incoming water is filtered and can be stored. When mounted at the correct height, the garden rainwater collector is an automatic overflow for the rain barrel. As soon as the barrel is full, it directs further water to the drain or to infiltration. Overflowing is impossible. The housing of the garden rainwater collector is made of stainless steel. It is inserted into the downpipe. Of course, it is frost and corrosion resistant and can also be installed in downpipes made of zinc, copper or plastic without galvanic interaction. Their smooth stainless steel surface makes it almost impossible for impurities to settle. Because it is positioned above ground level, the garden rainwater collector is easily accessible and protected against backwater in the sewer system.
