HERCO LIGHT COMMERCIAL RO SYSTEM Herco UO 130 Series RO The Herco Light Commercial RO system is an excellent choice for space-sensitive pure water and desalination applications, measuring just 80cm wide, 36cm tall and 36cm deep – suitable for a permeate flow rate of up to 130 litres per hour. Boasting several advanced features including a low-pressure switch, solenoid valve to control automatic flush cycles and RO 524 control system which displays permeate conductivity, with options for forced stop and full tank. The controller also includes low-voltage inputs for up to 2 float switches, allowing for automated tank replenishment (such as filling an IBC). How Long Do The Filters Last?The carbon pre-filter should be changed after 100,000 litres or every 6 months, whichever comes first. The RO membrane should be replaced when you notice a drop in permeate production or water quality. With soft water, membranes can last up to 5 years however with extremely hard water and no pre-treatment, membrane lifespan can be reduced to 12 months or less. Feed Water ParametersTo ensure optimal system performance the following feed water parameters should be met. As with all RO systems the permeate recovery and rejection figures depend on several factors such as feed water quality, temperature and the type of pre-treatment used. If your water hardness is over 100ppm a water softener should be used to prolong the life of the RO membrane.
