HERCO COMPACT COMMERCIAL RO SYSTEM Herco UO 300/500 Series RO The Herco Compact Commercial RO system is an excellent choice for high flow rate pure water and desalination applications, with a compact design that measures just 40cm wide, 124cm tall and 38cm deep. Available with either a single (300 litres per hour) or double 4040 membranes (500 litres per hour) the system boasts several advanced features including a low pressure switch, concentrate flow meters and RO 524 controller. The integrated control panel allows for fully automated monitoring of system performance, with permeate conductivity display and automatic concentrate flushing after each operating cycle or 24 hours of standby. How Long Do The Filters Last?The sediment pre-filter should be changed when the gauges show a differential pressure reading of 1.5 bar. The RO membrane should be replaced when you notice a drop in permeate production or water quality. With soft water, membranes can last up to 5 years however with extremely hard water and no pre-treatment, membrane lifespan can be reduced to 12 months or less. Feed Water ParametersTo ensure optimal system performance the following feed water parameters should be met. As with all RO systems the permeate recovery and rejection figures depend on several factors such as feed water quality, temperature and the type of pre-treatment used. If your water hardness is over 100ppm a water softener should be used to prolong the life of the RO membrane.
